Teen Program

Approximately 300,000 Young people become Homeless each year, the Majority of those youths are between the ages of 16 and 21.

Our Teen program is a Long-Term Transitional Living Facility
which takes in teens/youths who are turned out of the foster
care system upon turning 18 years of age and who are unable
to live on their own and subsequently are left to live on the streets.

The teens entering our program will find the living accommodations to be similar to that of a college dorm, with two beds in each bed room, and a common kitchen, dinning room, living room and study which is shared by all the teens in the program.

They will be taught and cared for by two individuals living on the property with them who will arm them with the necessary skills needed to become independent, productive citizens.

They will by taught job skills such as how to look for work, fill out an application, prepare for an interview and design a resume, along with basic home economics.

The teens entering the program will be required to look for work as well as volunteer at the animal shelter.
By volunteering, the teens will receive hands on training in secretariat, animal handling/training, animal grooming, and maintenance. This will also teach them responsibility, social skills, and compassion towards animals, which they will take with them and pass on to others; extending the program boundaries to reach society.

The programs success comes when the teens leave the program and claim final independence, living productively among the community.
